Some people also predict that the upper limit of LED life in the future will be infinite.
(2) Safety and environmental protection:
The working voltage of LED is low, mostly 1.4-3V; the working current of ordinary LED is only 10mA, and the ultra-high brightness is only 1A. LEDs do not add “mercury” in the production process, nor do they need to be inflated, do not need a glass shell, have good impact resistance, good shock resistance, are not easily broken, are easy to transport, and are very environmentally friendly. They are called “green energy”.
(3) Long service life
The LED is small in size and light in weight. The shell is encapsulated in epoxy resin, which not only protects the internal chip, but also has the ability to transmit light and condense light. The service life of LEDs is generally between 50,000 and 100,000 hours, because LEDs are semiconductor devices, and even frequent switching will not affect the service life. At present, incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps and energy-saving fluorescent lamps are mainly used in home lighting.
(4) Fast response speed

For example, the LED made of GaAs material, whose τmc is generally in the range of 1-10ns, the response frequency is about 16-160MHz, Such a high response frequency is sufficient for displaying a 6.5MHz video signal, which is also one of the key factors for realizing a large video LED screen
At present, the lowest LED response time has reached 1 microsecond, generally a few milliseconds, about 1/100 of the response time of ordinary light sources. Therefore, it can be used in many high-frequency environments, such as car brake lights or status lights, which can shorten the braking time of vehicles behind the car, thereby improving safety.
(5) High luminous efficiency
The light efficiency of incandescent and tungsten halogen lamps is 12-24lm / w (lumens / watt), the light efficiency of fluorescent lamps is 50-70lm / w, and the light efficiency of sodium lamps is 90-140lm / w. Most of the power consumption becomes heat loss. The LED light efficiency can be improved to 50-200lm / w, and the monochromatic light is good, the spectrum is narrow, and colored visible light can be directly emitted without filtering.

(14)No mosquito troubles
Incandescent lamps contain a lot of infrared light, which will attract a lot of mosquitoes around the light source. LED does not contain infrared light. LEDs will not attract mosquitoes, and the room will become more clean and tidy.
(15)More flexible application
The LED has a small size and a simple working method. The LED can be flexibly used in various fields. It has been extended to areas that traditional light sources cannot involve. For example, LEDs can be used as surface light sources, linear lights, etc. Traditional light sources are subject to volume and installation methods. 、 The influence of power supply mode is difficult to achieve
Most of the traditional light sources are glass products, which are filled with various gases or vacuums and are easily broken. The LED is a solid light source. The LED has good shock resistance and will not be damaged even if it is accidentally dropped on the ground.
